Bangur and Alka Bangur’s son Yogesh tied
the knot with DIGJAM owner Siddharth and Madhushree
Birla’s younger daughter Meenakshi a couple
of months ago at ITC Sonar in Kolkata. The entire
wedding had a traditional feel to it where the
décor for the festivities like the Ganesh
Pujan, Mehendi and the Mayera were primarily designed
in yellow, red and green combinations. Complimenting
the theme further, for every
function musicians and dancers had been flown
in especially from Rajasthan to entertain the
guests. But the icing on the cake was the plush
Bangur lawns recreated to resemble a temple for
the dance drama performance of the Radha Krishna
Raaslila by Hema Malini. Yogesh stole the show
on the Sangeet day by narrating his love story
through the song and dance medium. The wedding
was attended by the entire glitterati of the Marwari
community including HRH Gaj Singh.
Entrepreneurs’
Organization (EO) took its annual
Regional Integration Event (RIE) to Jaipur
in January 2010. Around 250 leading entrepreneurs
from all the eight chapters of the country
came together for a great learning exercise
through experience and knowledge sharing
by admired speakers. Interactive sessions,
panel discussions and workshops were conducted
and held by leading Indian personalities
like Chetan Bhagat, Sachin Pilot and Vasundhara
Raje among others. Heritage properties like
The Rambagh Palace and The Jaigarh Fort
played host to the three day event. Guests
were
enthralled
with an elephant polo match and the whose-who
of Rajasthan graced the closing ceremony. Abhishek
Haritwal, Communication Chair of EO Jaipur says
it was the first time RIE was hosted in Rajasthan
and it turned out to be a very royally indulgent
experience.
